Our Story
Red Lotus began in 2013 after Jason McCready was invited to teach yoga at Foundation Fitness in Arkadelphia. What started as donation-based community classes — including a fundraiser that raised $1,000 for the Humane Society — quickly grew into a larger opportunity when Henderson State University asked him to teach on campus. The name “Red Lotus,” inspired by Jason’s lotus tattoo, represents growth through challenge — a lotus rising from muddy waters. After a season away, Red Lotus reopened in 2024 under Holistic Journeys, continuing its mission to serve the community through strong, purposeful yoga instruction.
Why Red Lotus Exists
Red Lotus exists to challenge and strengthen people — physically and mentally. The classes are intentionally strength-focused, designed to improve balance, flexibility, endurance, and overall health while also reducing stress and sharpening focus at all levels. Red Lotus is committed to breaking stereotypes about yoga, welcoming both men and women into a disciplined, results-driven practice that builds resilience on and off the mat.
